Fugger Room

Step into the private living space of the well-known Fugger merchant family. Richly furnished with, among other things, a Gothic washbasin, stove, two extraordinarily significant inclined tables decorated with splendid inlays, a scissor chair and a small handicraft table, this room is almost completely original.

Admire splendid ironwork on door locks and hinges, and ornate door interlocks. Discover the secret staircase in the paneling, which, according to tradition, leads directly into the forest, under the Inn to the other side of the valley, as well as a treasure of art and cultural historical importance: the painting by Dürer’s pupil Hans Schäufelein, which shows a tournament scene in front of the Innsbruck Hofburg shows.
