Today, it is counted among the most beautiful art and cultural monuments of the country, where celebrating festivals is a tradition. The unique location of this Renaissance jewel is perfect for grand celebrations such as weddings, birthdays, and company events.
“Noblesse oblige” is the motto, as not only noble families have long since discovered the charm of this magnificent palace for themselves.
The Habsburg Ballroom
The centerpiece of Tratzberg Castle, the Habsburg Hall, adorned with magnificent wall frescoes depicting the family tree of the Habsburgs and mentioned in every Austrian history book, measures 180 square meters. With no limits to its potential for an unforgettable dinner, the hall can be arranged with either round tables or long banquet tables according to preference. Additionally, a round table can be placed in the slightly elevated bay window area.
However, this 10 square meter bay window can also accommodate live musical accompaniment – imagine being serenaded by the melodies of harps or violins during your dinner!

- seated dinners for up to 120-130 people (e.g., at round 8-seater tables)
- standing receptions of up to approx. 170 people
- cinema-style seating available upon request – depends on the size of the stage
Dancing is unfortunately NOT permitted in the Habsburg Hall! Alternatively, the Renaissance Ilsung Hall is suitable for dancing.
The Renaissance Ilsung Hall
Directly adjacent to the in 2024 newly refurbished Armory, this space is ideal for the party after the dinner. Here, a dance floor, a cocktail bar, and an adjoining lounge – only to mention a few possibilities – can be set up for the perfect conclusion to a successful evening. Alternatively, this room can be used for receptions, smaller dinners, or presentations.

The Armory
Directly adjacent to the Renaissance Ilsung Hall, next to the castle’s own chapel, is this beautiful, historic and newly refurbished Knight’s Hall, which houses a unique collection of armor and historical weapons. The armory is suitable for:

- a seated dinner for up to a maximum of 57 people at long or round tables
- for a reception or “party lounge” or cinema-style seating upon request
The Gallery / Arcades*
With a spectacular view of the mountains and the magnificent Renaissance courtyard, the surrounding covered* arcades, located on the same level as the event rooms, stretch over 180 m2. Long tables for an outdoor but covered dining experience, decorated standing tables for a reception, or rows of seats for a wedding ceremony in the long corridor – the versatile usage possibilities are almost limitless.

*Attention: The arcades do NOT provide sufficient protection in case of heavy rain or wind, therefore they can only be booked in conjunction with the rental of indoor spaces, or alternatively, you may need to relocate to the vaulted cellar on the ground floor if necessary.
Renaissance Courtyard*
Over 900m2 stretches the heart of Tratzberg Castle, through which the castle and all its rooms are entered. Even from the arcades / gallery on the 1st floor (at the level of the event rooms), you and your guests can enjoy a breathtaking view of the fresco-painted courtyard and the Tyrolean mountains. It definitely offers a unique location for your receptions, and if weather conditions allow, also for dining or concerts.
*Attention:
The courtyard is not covered and offers NO protection from rain or wind!
Therefore, it can only be booked in conjunction with the rental of indoor spaces, or alternatively, you may need to relocate to the vaulted cellar on the ground floor if necessary.
The Habsburg Hall, Ilsung Hall & Armory, church, and catering room are all located on the 1st floor, at the same level as the 180m2 arcade. The vaulted cellar is located at the level of the courtyard.
Get married in the castle chapel
Unique. Touching. Unforgettable.
Here, you can also hold your church wedding accompanied by the sounds of the church organ (from the church gallery). Up to 80 guests can be accommodated in the church, whether it’s for weddings, baptisms, or concerts. For additional guests, the wide connecting window in the rear part of the church can be opened to the next room, where additional seating is available, however with limited view.
